Chasing Light

At the end of a long day, I was ready to go home.

As I walked down the stairs of Yale Law School, I noticed the sunlight.

It slipped through the stained-glass windows and quietly filled the room with gold.

I wondered how many people had stood here before me.

How many students had walked these halls carrying uncertainty, ambition, doubt, and hope.

And how many had paused when they saw this same light.

For a brief moment, it felt like a reminder:

Keep going.

Because some light doesn't just brighten a room.

Some light stays with you.
